2Our services
Bell-Us provides business voice services over the internet (VoIP) on the PortSIP platform:
- Softphone – your business number in the free PortSIP app on your smartphone.
- Landline – a business landline that can ring on several phones, with a cordless or desk handset if you choose one.
- Call centre solutions – quoted to your team size.
- Unlimited Internet – South Africa only.
We currently serve South Africa (ZAR), Botswana (BWP), Zimbabwe (USD). The services, prices and currency for each country are shown on that country’s page of our website.
Calls over the internet need a working internet connection and power. Call quality and availability depend on your connection and device.
5Handset handling fee and equipment
If you choose a cordless or physical (desk) landline handset, a once-off handset handling fee of R3 000 / P2 430 / US$180 (South Africa / Botswana / Zimbabwe) is billed once. Softphone has no handset handling fee.
- The handset handling fee is non-refundable.
- All handsets and other equipment we provide remain the property of Bell-Us. Paying the handset handling fee does not transfer ownership to you.
- You must take reasonable care of the equipment and may not sell it, give it away or use it as security.
- When your service is cancelled you must return the equipment to Bell-Us.
6Acceptable use
You may not use our services, or allow anyone else to use them:
- for anything unlawful, fraudulent or abusive, including harassment or threatening calls;
- for unsolicited bulk or automated calls (spam or robocalls);
- to interfere with, damage or gain unauthorised access to our systems, the PortSIP platform or other networks; or
- by sharing your login or app credentials with people you have not authorised.
You are responsible for all use of your account and numbers. We may suspend a service immediately if we reasonably believe it is being misused, and we will tell you why.
