1. General terms

Disclosure of relevant information

BellUs provides voice, data, communication-device, and related digital connectivity services. Product availability, network availability, service coverage, delivery areas, and technical requirements may vary.

Customers must provide accurate information during an order, verification, or support request. BellUs may request additional information before activating a service or releasing a device.

2. Orders and devices

Ordering services and hardware

An order may include a voice plan, a data plan, a SIM card, Unlimited Internet, a landline device, a softphone service, or another approved BellUs product.

  • Orders are subject to availability, verification, and payment approval.
  • Device images are illustrative; final specifications may vary based on stock availability.
  • Delivery timing depends on confirmed address, stock, and required verification.
  • Activation can require compliance documents and successful provisioning.
3. RICA and verification

SIM cards and identity requirements

Where a service includes a SIM card or another regulated mobile service, identity and address verification may be required before activation or delivery.

Keep these ready

  • A valid South African ID, smart ID card, or passport where applicable
  • Proof of a physical residential address where required
  • Proof-of-address document dated within the accepted verification period
  • Supporting documents requested for a business or company account

Exact RICA and verification requirements can vary based on the selected service, provider, and the relevant compliance process.

4. Fees and payments

Billing, recurring plans, and renewals

Monthly services are billed according to the selected plan, agreement, and billing cycle. Pricing shown on the website should be confirmed at checkout.

Any once-off setup fee is charged once, with your first payment. Your first month is pro-rated from your start date to the end of that month, and subscriptions are then billed in full on the 1st of every month. Card payments made through Stripe show BELL-US on your bank statement.

Renewal messages may be sent before a plan renewal date to the customer’s registered email address. Customers are responsible for keeping their email address current.

5. Returns and refunds

Returns, cancellations, and refund requests

Return or cancellation eligibility depends on the service type, whether a device has been activated or used, the agreement accepted at checkout, and applicable law. Contact BellUs support before returning hardware.

A returned device may need assessment before a credit, replacement, or refund is approved. Delivery, activation, and third-party costs may be handled separately where permitted by the applicable agreement.

6. Privacy (POPIA)

Privacy & agent referrals

When you open a Bell-Us agent’s referral link we store the agent’s code in a cookie for up to 45 days and keep a record of the visit (the agent code, a one-way hash of your IP address – not the address itself – your browser type, the country page and the time) for up to 60 days, so that the agent who referred you is credited and you receive the referral discount. We do not use this for advertising and do not share it. Ask us at info@bell-us.co.za to delete it.

Bell-Us agents’ bank account details are used only to pay their commission by EFT, are stored encrypted and are visible only to Bell-Us administrators. We never ask agents or customers for card numbers by email or on this site; card payments are handled by our payment providers (Paystack, Stripe).
